I am not a wine expert, and I don’t try to act like one. But, I have tried to educate myself about wine enough so that when I’m standing in the isle, filled with hundreds of different types of wines, I want to know what I’m looking at…and spending my money on.
OK, I know what you’re all thinking: “In such a small town, how can you pick from hundreds of wines?” Well, we don’t! But, when we travel to visit family and friends in our “old stompin’ grounds”, we stock up.
I’ve created this graphic as a simple way to identify the very basics about red wines. If you’re new to drinking wine or simply like lighter, sweeter drinks, you should stick to light-bodied wines. If you’re feeling adventurous, try working your way up the ladder by choosing medium to full-bodied wines. Hopefully, this will help you decide which wines to start trying.
Please leave your comments or questions. Until next time, cheers!
